alright so like the cut says, this post is primarily for keeping up with shenanigans. i'm going to go ahead and post potential teachers (all those who volunteered in the ooc post) as comments, and leave it to you kids to sign yourselves up to a teacher. if you'd rather have a random gen, i can swing that too. you can pm me, or hit me up on plurk (starboardside) if you have any questions.

this list is subject to change as add/drops get done, and your teacher doesn't have to stay your teacher, nor will they be the only person you work with. i plan on creeping the shit out of all of you with spock anyway. and your character is free to drop out at any time of course.

as an added disclaimer at this point in time, the aim of the team is to look for smiley's log on/off times &locations, as well as who it's communicating with and looking for any other miscellaneous messages it's left out there for them. they're tracking and engaging, nothing more. the mods have not said that anything will come out of this. but that doesn't mean you can't ask. :)

your character can however, learn hacking and encrypting and all other cool things from each other through this group. just- try to do it in a believable way? and have fun. you know, that part's important too.

i figure that aberdeen's very much a ONE on ONE kind of person and she's more inclined to be patient (though not necessarily any more talkative) with somebody she DOES know than somebody she doesn't! what's jaye's current skill level with the devices and what specifically do you think she's looking to learn?

Well she knows how to go between video/audio/text and she can piggyback off encryptions. I think she figured out how to get file attachments after poking at it a lot. she'd like to learn how to encrypt things (and... unencrypt? decrypt? IDK WHAT THE TERM IS if possible), though she's really always going to want to go to the source instead of hacking ~~that's why she has you, aberdeen~~ so maybe like idk IP tracking, if that's possible? WHO CARES WHAT THE MESSAGE IS IF SHE CAN FIND OUT WHO SENT IT FROM WHERE
